O Level

 

THE CAIE CURRICULUM

The school uses curriculum recommended by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) formerly known as University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) for O-Level/A-Level. CAIE is the world's largest provider of academic qualification certification for 14–19-year-olds. The O-Level certification is recognized worldwide by 160 countries and makes the student eligible for admission to colleges internationally.


EXAMINATION & ASSESSMENT

Students, after passing their 8th Grade Examination join either the O-Level or Matric stream. The O Level comprises a three years programme, whereas Matric is completed in two years. An extensive exploratory 4 months Pre-O-level programme commences from January till April. This advisory period is for guidance and assessment to the O-Level students, this is to help students make up their minds to choose the subjects they want to study. IX-O commences in August. At the end of Class X-O, students are allowed to sit for three O Level subjects; Islamiat, Pak Studies & Urdu in the May/June session. The remaining five subjects are taken by the students next year in their XI-O May/June Exams.

 

SUBJECTS OFFERED

Students opting for O-Level are required to take a minimum of 8 subjects including compulsory subjects. A range of subjects, catering for a variety of academic needs and interests, are offered. These include the following compulsory subjects leading to ordinary level (O-Level):
