Animal Care-Awareness Session

At BTSC Orchard Campus, through our 'Animal Care Awareness' in-class program, we aimed to enhance children’s compassion, respect, and responsibility towards animal life. Children were taught about other aspects of animal welfare as well, such as, safe interaction with stray animals, to prevent bites/scratches, understanding animals’ body language and diseases e.g. Rabies and Cat Scratch Disease.

Teachers heard from the students about their thoughts and experiences they have had with stray animals. Students shared their interesting stories about their pets and told about the plight of street animals they have seen and how helpless they feel about it.

Such sessions prove to be quite beneficial in structuring children’s mind towards the proper and better treatment towards the fauna of society and the ecosystem hence building a better community for future.
