Letter to the Parents-BTSC Karachi Campuses  

Dear Parents,
We are thankful to all of you for joining hands with us for the E-Learning initiative. This would not have been possible without your constant support and patience.
We would like to share a breakdown of a tentative plan for the coming months.
 
Summer Holidays
The school will be officially closed from Apr 25, 2020, to May 31, 2020. This period will be considered as summer / annual holidays for students/staff.  The day to day e-learning program will also be shut down, during this time.

Summer Homework:
Summer Homework will be accessible through the Parent Portal, Mobile App, and the School Website on Apr 26, 2020.
The submission date for Summer Homework is 1st June 2020. Summer Homework has to be deposited in hard copy, at the relevant campus

If you wish to submit your ward's work in soft copy, please email it to "waqas.ali@bahriatownschool.edu.pk". You are requested to mention your child's name/BTS number and Class in the email's subject.

Your child's promotion will be based on the Summer Homework submission. A weightage of 20% has been allotted to the Summer Homework.

E-Learning @ BTSC:
We will continue our e-Learning till Friday 24th April 2020.
Submission of assignments/tasks assigned from March 2020 till Friday 24th April 2020 is mandatory. Your child's promotion will be based on his/her written response to e-learning assignments', a weightage of 30% has been allotted to e-learning assignments.

June 2020:
As per Government notification, we will resume our school for students from Monday 1st June 2020. In case we receive any Government notifications for extending school closure beyond May 31, 2020, parents will be informed via SMS / BTSC mobile app accordingly.
Final/Promotional Examination schedule will be shared with the parents/students in the first week of June 2020.

The syllabus for Final Examinations will be shared through the Parent Portal and Mobile App.

Other important dates are as follow:
1st June (Monday) - 10th July (Friday): We will be following our reinforcement plan. Students will revise key topics of the syllabus covered from Aug 2019 to April 2020, followed by a series of tests and quizzes.
Mid-June: Assessments for Bifurcation of class VIII
27th June, 20: Result Day Class VIII
2nd Week July: Final Exams classes I to VII and Class IX
25th July (Saturday): Result Day Classes I to VII and Class IX
29th July - 2nd August: Eid-ul Azha Holidays
3rd August 2020: Beginning of new session 2020-2021

Important Note:
The above breakdown applies to all the students of Preschool till Grade VIII (Karachi Campuses). However, the school closure and opening dates are for all the levels.
Annual Examinations for AKU-EB SSC Part-I (Class IX) are scheduled for June 2020. We will commence their classes as soon as we receive the go-ahead from the government.  

In case the government announces school closure beyond Jun 1, 2020, the school shall resume its e-Learning program from June 1, 2020, till schools reopen.
